Ms. Ursula McGowen

Ursula is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Learning and Professional Development at the University of Adelaide. She is responsible for academic staff development including the academic induction of sessional staff and the coordination of a university-wide cultural awareness program. She is bilingual (German-English) and is experienced in issues for international and other students from language backgrounds other than English. Her current publications have focussed on strategies for assisting academic language development for international students with a view to minimising their inadvertent plagiarism.
