Dr. Ruth Walker
Profile
Ruth is the co-chair of APFEI. She teaches academic writing at the University of Wollongong, and currently works with the Faculty of Creative Arts and the Sydney Business School (SBS). She was a recipient of an ALTC citation in 2008 'For sustained work to collaboratively integrate contextualised academic integrity into curricula', and has been involved in the transnational delivery of BA programs to Hong Kong. Her research interests take a cultural and media studies approach to academic integrity, particularly regarding the impact of media technologies on critical writing practices. She co-edited a recent special issue of IJEI on 'digital technologies and educational integrity', and is co-editor of the forthcoming book Zombies in the Academy: Living Death in Higher Education (2012 Intellect Press).
